I am directed to acknowledge the receipt of your letter of the 3rd. June and to inform you that the Finance Com-

-mittee of Legislative Council has today recommended a vote of $1,473,879.25 for the resumption of lands in accordance with the details show in the attached printed paper.

You will observe that the vote is for $1,473,879.25 not $1,472,389.53 as stated in paragraph 3 of my letter of the 1st: June, the discrepancy being due to the fact that the item $349.13

in paragraph 2 1 A (iii) of my letter of the 15th. March should have read $3,491.25 and the item $183.60 in paragraph 2 I B (ii) of the same letter should have read g1,836.00.
